Marcia Fahim, the Woman Behind Your Seamless Salon Experience

There is a certain calm that exists inside Mason James Hair. Appointments move with ease. The space feels considered without feeling precious. Everything seems to be where it should be, right when it is needed. That sense of order is not accidental.

It is the work of Marcia Fahim.

As Operations Manager, Marcia is responsible for the systems, structure, and decision making that hold the salon together. She is the person thinking several steps ahead, ensuring the creative team is supported and the client experience feels effortless from start to finish.

Her connection to salons began long before Mason James Hair existed. Growing up as the daughter of a hair stylist, she was immersed early in the rhythm of salon life. She saw how trust was built not just through skill, but through consistency, preparation, and care. How people relax when they feel things are under control. Those early impressions shaped the way she works today.

Marcia’s background spans customer service, design, fashion business, and social media, but operations has always been her natural home. She is drawn to structure. To clarity. To the satisfaction that comes from things running well behind the scenes. At Mason James Hair, that means overseeing hiring, booking systems, scheduling, product selection, and stock. It means making sure the right colour is available at the right moment, and that the day flows smoothly for both clients and stylists.

Much of Marcia’s work is invisible, but its impact is felt everywhere. When stylists are free to focus entirely on their craft, it is because someone else has removed the friction. When clients feel calm and confident the moment they arrive, it is because the experience has been carefully thought through.

Marcia’s attention to detail extends to the products on the shelf. Her go to is Davines OI Oil, chosen for the way it softens, smooths, and protects without ever weighing the hair down.

With formal education in design and fashion business, Marcia also played a key role in shaping the physical environment of the salon. She oversaw the interior design, bringing together warmth, functionality, and timeless style. Her inspiration comes from travel, interiors, and fashion, and she gravitates toward spaces that feel considered rather than trend driven. The salon reflects that sensibility. Calm. Refined. Welcoming.

That same eye extends to the salon’s Instagram presence, which Marcia continues to oversee. She understands the importance of first impressions and consistency, knowing that for many clients, this digital space is their introduction to the brand. The imagery and tone mirror the experience inside the salon, thoughtful, professional, and grounded.

As Mason’s wife and business partner, Marcia has been part of Mason James Hair since its earliest beginnings. The business is deeply personal. Every decision is made with longevity in mind, building trust not through grand gestures, but through reliability and care over time.

At the centre of Marcia’s approach is people. She wants every client to leave feeling confident, refreshed, and genuinely looked after. More than loving their hair, she wants them to feel seen and listened to. Safe in the knowledge that they were in the hands of professionals who care deeply about what they do.

Every detail matters to Marcia, right down to the glasses and coffee cups. In hers is an extra hot almond cappuccino.

Outside of the salon, Marcia enjoys shopping, travelling, and spending time with family. If she were not working in operations, she would likely be designing interiors or styling fashion, still creating spaces that feel calm, organised, and welcoming.

Marcia may work quietly behind the scenes, but her influence defines the experience of Mason James Hair. It is felt in the ease of the visit, the confidence of the team, and the sense that everything simply works the way it should.
